I had hail damage to my house on 2013-11-29. The claim was registered on 02 December with reference 2493799. I tried phoning on 2013-12-11 on 0860112225 to find out if someone will still contact me for the first time. After holding on for 6 minutes I opted to leave a message just to be disconnected. I wrote an e-mail to my private banker on 2013-12-11 and requested that she send it to the appropriate authority to which she replied that it was done. No further response to date!
I understand that there is high pressure on Absa due to extensive hail damage but the "ostrich's head in the sand" attitude does nothing to ensure service delivery to the customers. Surely just an update of stating that the claim will not lapse and that it will be dealt with within a certain period will go far to calm the dissatisfaction that I feel at this stage
