We suffered severe flood damage in Randburg a few weeks ago so contacted Outsurance to start the claim process. What started out relatively smooth has developed into a nightmare. That Outsurance TV Ad where you see their staff 'bending over backwards' for you - FORGET IT! The splurb on their website where they state "you will also be blown away by our awesome service". FORGET IT! Outsurance's choice of assessors is very poor indeed. Firstly, they wanted me the customer to assess damage to electrical goods. "Put it together and our assessor will send a driver to collect. What??? Am I an assessor? Am I qualified to do this? I complained and asked for another assessor to be appointed to come out and do their job. Outsurance appointed another electrical goods assessor who did this. At first it seemed like these guys were on the ball. This is now the other end of the spectrum. The insistence of these assessors choosing what THEY think is right for ME, the paying Outsurance customer is unacceptable. THEY don't have to live with the goods chosen - I do! There is more to this claim but unfortunately no space to write this. BENDING OVER BACKWARDS? NO OUTSURANCE - VERY BAD SERVICE!
