Outsurance
Assessor's poor service

Business & Finance

I am a female lady, aged 22, whom recently had an accident with my vehicle on 24th February 2013. I logged a claim with outsurance. Outsurance then sent the assessor to inspect the damage on my vehicle. My vehicle was sent to a Nissan approved panelbeater. After 8 frustrating weeks the car was sent to Nissan to perform a final inspection on the repairs. Needless to say, i am still stranded without transport as the inspection failed. Nissan's inspection report revealed that the rack & pinion is also damaged, which wasn't noted by the assessor initially. I question the capabilities of certain assessors used by insurance companies. This is totally unacceptable as i am still stranded without transport. Bending backwards, what a lot of! I also question if my vehicle should be repaired now at the Nissan dealer rather than at the panelbeater as this is a mechanical problem, which a Nissan qualified mechanic should repair. What makes it even worse is that the vehicle was sent for wheel alignment and still the problem with the rack & pinion wasn't noted.
How long should I still be stranded and rely on other people to transport me to work?
