Unable to close account

I have closed my ABSA credit card months ago, but I still receive statements and I am still being charged banking fees. I went to the ABSA Waverly branch where I paid off the outstanding amount. I then spoke to the credit card department via telephone (from the branch) in order to close the account.

Since then I am still receiving monthly statements. I have contacted the credit card department, and they have sent me an email notification indicating that the account is closed. I have sent this email notification to the credit card account department every month that I receive a statement, but I do not get ANY response form them!!!

At the moment I have money outstanding on a credit card account which I closed, and this is merely because of banking fees being charged incorrectly.

Bad service like this is exactly why I tried to close the account in the first place. I am posting this on Hello Peter hoping that I will now get a response form ABSA bank.
