Was told the CAR was a write off!

On Tuesday, 3rd December, I was phoned by Dial Direct and was informed that the Car was a write-off. The first thing was that they had the claim incorrect stating that it was hail damage instead it was water damage, which I corrected them. They told me I had to submit the registration papers so the claim could be processed. I asked that they send me an email so I can reply and attached the registration papaers, but I received nothing.

On Wednesday I got an email saying the claim will not be claimed because the hail damage was not covered in my policy, this was incorrect as it was not hail damage and was an accident claim/water damage.

On Friday, the 6th, I phoned to find out what was happening with my claim, only to be informed that they were sending it or another assessment, even though on the Tuesday they said the car was a write off and my claim would be processed! This is unacceptable, and I want the claim to be paid out based on what I was told on Tuesday, other wise I am reporting Dial Direct to the Ombudsman,

My other gripe is that for some reason after logging into the Website in the middle of the year and looking at my policy, my premiums jumped up by R600!
