First National Bank
Confusion

Business & Finance

I bought an iPhone via my FNB account. Over the past 2 months I have been experiencing problems with the phone just dropping calls. I have since had more complaints from my clients that they try phoning me and just get a response that "the subscriber is not available".
I took my phone to the iStore at The Glen and they referred me to an iFix store in The Glen - an approved vendor of FNB - who were most helpful and accessed the phone immediately. They have given me a written report that there is component failure on the Mainboard, the main Modem I.C has failed, and that it cannot be repaired and the phone need to be replaced.
Now the problem!
When I contacted FNB and explained all this the consultant said I have to take the phone to a Cell C store as this is their partner. I dually took the phone to Cell C in The Glen and they where so disgusted that I could even enter their premises with a phone that had an MTN sim card in! After trying to explain to my problem, they basically told me they would not loan me a phone, and that they would send the phone to their technical department, and it would take up to 3 months.
This is not acceptable, and I feel FNB should replace the phone?
