Up to 4 month wait for repairs on my vehicle

I work on a construction site and 3 weeks ago a TLB hit my Polo from the back. I was standing still and the driver confessed to being neglagent. I had to claim for my car to be fixed from the companys insurance which in Santam and they told me that it can take up to 4 months!!! My boot is completely damaged and I am going on vacation in 3 weeks time and had to pay for flight tickets to Cape Town and a rental car because I cannot go on holiday with my car looking like that. How is it possible that something that wasnt my fault can cause me so much inconvenience and now I hear I have to wait for up to 4 months to have my boot replaced??? How is that Possible. I am furious and very glad that Im am not insured with them!!
