Another excuse for not honouring the claim

All i needed was the reason why my claim was declined and was told by Dawie Muller that the mechanic told Tiaan on record that the damage was caused by overheating, Dawie was adamant and insisted that they do have it on record. I then requested the recording from Dawie as the mechanic is disputing their reasoning. Dawie was supposed to send me the recording on the 12th to date i am still waiting which leads me to the conclusion that Dawie might have to me by saying the claim was declined based on what the mechanic said which is not true as the mechanic did not tell Tiaan the car was overheating. The claims manager now wants me to ask the mechanic to diaassemble the car again and give another report. My qouestion is what is wrong with the innitial report and who will carry the cost as i carried the cost to the innitial work on the car. The cost is R12000.The company is just looking for axcuses not to honour the claim as they are looking for excuses.if i agree to the mechanic working again on the car i will end up with a bill of R24000.I feel the company has misled me as a client and has misrepresented the mechanic which leaves me with no option but to seek legal advice.
