I contacted the African Bank call centre today, wanting to know if there is any response on the case of that I logged with them about a month ago. I spoke to a call centre agent, Ntabeleng Marabe. I explained to her that there was money taken out of my bank account on the 9th of May, 2 days after I took out a loan with African Bank. I informed her that i have been into the cape town golden acre branch and was told that my query was being escalated and I will get feedback. The branch advisor and manager assured me that it has been happening to a few customers, and African bank is aware of the and have refunded customers. My question to this agent was, what is the outcome of my query, if any, as it has been a month already. This agent was adamant that it is not African banks issue as the money was paid into my bank account. I asked her if her answer is based on facts that she received from my investigation, or if this is what she made up. I am furious at the way 'customer services' handled my question!!! I am now forced to go into the bank and spend my time again trying to get this sorted! Please train that agent on soft skills, they clearly dont know how to handle people
