I have a loan with African Bank and have called in 4 times already to ask to have my loan reduced which still has not been done. I had paid in R30 000 into my loan and then called in to ask to have it reduced from R3200 to something more reasonable. When i called the call centre they had asked that i send them a copy of my id, payslip, proof of address, a letter with my monthly account expenses and a 3 month bank statement. This was done in October 13. I was then told i would have to wait 48 hours for another department to check wether i'll be approved or not and that they would get back to me. I waited a week and got no response and when i called in i was told by the call centre agent that they had forgotten to send in my application and that they would do i immediately. one week later the same thing. So on the 28th of November i went to the an African Bank branch and called in again and i spoke to a woman named Nonhlala who told me that the email was still not sent i asked to have a copy sent to me as well but till now nothing was done. African Bank has very poor customer care policy and i havent have my loan amount reduced and not one call advising me what has happened.
