In July my car broke down outside Clanwilliam at about 8 pm on a Friday evening. I called Outsurance and was assisted by Harvey who helped get my car towed and me transported to accommodation overnight. I was impressed with his follow up and the fact that my claim was settled within a few weeks. However, this is not the reason for my compliment. On 2 October my other car broke down outside VanRhynsDorp. I again contacted Outsurance, but this time had organised my own tow from a local garage, and so while the details were placed on file, the claim was not officially logged. I eventually submitted the claim on 20 October but had no reference or contact number. As a flyer I forwarded the details to Harvey, who had not dealt with this incident, but the next morning at 07:15 (20 October is a Sunday), he phoned me and confirmed that the claim had been approved. I received payment within seven days.
