My husband was involved in an accident on Sat. 1 Dec 2012. We immediately logged the claim on Monday 3 December. I received an sms the Tuesday indicating the claim number, name of the person who will be dealing with me (Miyone Haas) and that they are awaiting the results from the assessor. Great right??
The vehicle was only eventually collected from us on Thursday 17 December as it was uneconomical to repair and therefore written off. We only received a payout on the 4th of January AND the bank payment for the vehicle was deducted on the 2nd AND I HAD TO CALL OUTSURANCE to make sure they don't deduct the premiums for both my vehicles (which they would have if I had not called).
So now I am trying to get my bank payment back and no-one is assisting me and they just want to forward my calls to Miyone who has given me terrible service. And whenever I call to speak to a Supervisor, no-one is available. I eventually spoke to Jody Davies after being transferred incorrectly by Miyone when querying a refund on my debit. She told me that Wesbank needs to reimburse me and Wesbank says Outsurance is responsible as they did not know the car was written off. SO NOW I WAIT!!
