I changed my Homeowners Insurance by sending a form for a request to substitute insurance cover for HOC to [Email Removed] I received an automated email response. I also advised them to only make the change effective from 1 December as there is no option on the form to state this. An automated email response said there is a turnaround time of 3 - 4 days whereafter someone would confirm which hasn't happened. I spoke to the Home Loans call centre on 3 occasions. They say that nothing has been recorded but I must wait for up to 14 days as this is how long it will take and there is no-one in the insurance department that I can speak to. All I want to do is ensure they firstly are attending to the request (the automated email means nothing to me) and secondly that it will only be effective from 1 December. The only thing I am told to do is wait and keep phoning. I don't understand why it is so difficult to just check that the request is being attended to and to confirm that they will note the change to be effective from 1 December. I don't want to end up either having no insurance during the gap or paying double because the request was not handled.
