On the 24th of 10/2013 i went to Old Mutual in mamelodi crossing to cash one of my policies as i am getting married in Dec, i was told that the policy had lapsed and completed docs to have the money refunded to me which i was told it would not be the full amount and i would have the money in my acc within 10 working days, i was expecting the money to be paid this week, i decided to call Old mutual to follow up on how far the payment is and spoke to a consultant who advised that the policy has not lapsed and they do not have any record of my request for a refund. This is very upsetting to me as i am getting married next month and i need the funds urgently, i took some time off work 2 weeks ago, went and got bank statement and all the docs they requested to have my money paid into my acc and today i get a contradicting story that the policy has not lapsed, it is in arrears and if i want to withdraw i need to start the procedure from stretch and wait another 5-7 working days. I am not willing to wait this long, i want my money in my acc this week as i was initially advised, i refuse to let Old Mutual's incompetence inconvenience me any longer than they already have!
