An unauthorised debit order was submitted against my savings account in October even though the account in question had been over settled in September. The over settlement in September meant that there had been amount due to be refunded to me. i was promised that the refund would happen in September which never happened. I also asked them to ensure that the debit order be cancelled going forward. Low and behold another Debit order tracked against my bank account in October and i immediately called into their call centre to advise that i asked for this to be cancelled the month before and was advised that i need personally had to go into the bank to stop it... I was further advised that if the debit order goes off successfully i'd be able to dispute this debit order and it would be returned to me. So today i finally manage to get to my branch and am told that THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO DISPUTE the debit order. I find this unacceptable as it's my right to DISPUTE a debit order as per PASA legislation. I WILL ENSURE THAT I CLOSE ALL EXISTING MY ACCOUNTS WITH THIS BANK FIRST THING ON MONDAY MORNING.
