Vodacom doesn't want to cancel my debit orde

Good morning
I spoke to your call centre in December/January to have my debit order cancelled because I'm not using my account you have the debit order for as I'm paying you guys cash since October last year. I was informed that a debit order will not be cancelled if there is a debit amount still outstanding. There is no moneys in my account as I'm not using it and now for your debit order that cannot be cancelled my account billed to an astronomical account at my bank.
Please cancel my debit order as I am paying you guys cash for the time being.
