I would like to log a complaint on bealf of my mother. My bother passed away due to colon cancer, we had no idea that he had a mens cancer plan in place in order to cover him, he passed away in September 2012, and we received a letter in july/aug 2013. I therefore made contact with a absa call centre 0860106238 and enquired. The consultant told me to provide them with the following documents:
My Brother's Death certificate, Medical report, Authority letter, Claimants bank details (my mum), Copy of deceased id (My Brother), Copy of claimant's id (My mum). The consultant asured me as i kept on asking is this all paperword that is needed, she kept on responding and saying yes its the only documents, and if there are outstanding docs we will call you and tell you. My biggest frustration is, they keep on asking for celphone numbers but insurance companies never use them. Reason im saying that, is that the consultanct i spoke to today said that they posted the letter already the 24th October 2013 a day after the claim was submitted. to date we have not received letters from absa. I mean what is wrong with picking up a phone and providing feedback.
