I made a deposit of R 2000 at a std bank atm on the 08/10/2013 .the process went fine but when i received the receipt it advised the transaction was cancelled after the cash had already been sent down the slot. i went to the Phoenix branch immediately and they advised i call the card division which i did and card division advised that i should ignore the receipt which advised cancelled and the deposit was successful and the funds would be available within 2 days as it reflected, after two days i realised the funds did not clear and i called the card division again. The call centre advised that because it was a deposit at an atm i should wait another two days for the funds to clear . it never did. i called them again and was then advised that because it was a credit card payment it would take ten working days to clear. After ten working days it didnt, i advised to go to the Phoenix branch who advised they would escalate the matter and ensure its resolved asap.24 days later the ATM department advises that the ATM was stripped apart and if thers a possibility i will have to take a loss for the deposit of R 2000.NOW THATS WHAT I CALL SERVICE, TO MYSELF, A 70 YEAR OLD PENSIONER!!
