Useless Service on closing account!

Hi,

Background:
I work long hours and on Saturdays. I have been wanting to close my account for the last 6 months, and the date mentioned below was the first time in 6 months I have had the chance to do it.

On the Day (17.10.2013)
Arrived at bank and spoke to one of the elite bankers to close it. I asked them if I can open a savings account and transfer the balance over. They couldn't do that due to the system being off. So they wanted me to draw the cash (very inconvenient). Then on trying to close my account the couldn't because apparently the funds that I transferred to my Savings Pocket (Linked to Plat Card) from my Plat Account wasn't released yet. That was done the previous night.??? So for the whole 45min I sat there we haven't reached any conclusion, except that FNB is great at innovation but the backend that needs to support this is non existent.

So I am going to transfer the money out of all my savings and plat accounts to a different bank before the monthly fee is due. Then this will serve as my protection that FNB should close it and in the instance of a debit balance (monthly fee) this will protect me when this becomes a legal action.
