I have had a FNB Simply Savings Account for my funds not in my cheque account for about 4 years now. I then transfer cash from my savings account into my cheque account/credit card as needed. Over the last month FNB has decided to start charging R3.50 for every transfer you make from your savings account to your cheque account, in other words, FNB is charging me to use my own money!

I called them and the explanation I was given is that this charge is correct and the system wasn't charging for it and this has now been corrected. This is absolute rubbish and daylight. I will be closing this account. It is disgraceful that you deem it worthy to charge me for transfers I do online to utilise my own liquid funds. I was not informed that you magically changed your system and these charges would come through. I think they should be reversed.

It is shockign that you would even come up with this charge. I am rather disappointed with you as a bank.
