I opened this account over the phone and by emailing all the required documents on the 8th Oct, I even queried how long it would take and I was told to give it a day or two. On Fri the 11th Oct, I received an sms to check my new account by dialing *120*2345#, I could not see no new account, so I went to the branch to enquire, I was told to come back on Mon. On Mon I returned and I spoke to a Prestige Banker that said the account appears on the system and that he is my assigned Prestige Banker, but that there is a stop on the account awaiting the delivery of paperwork. He further asked me if I could urgently transfer R3000 to activate the overdraft facility, and that he would transfer it back to me. I transferred R3000 that afternoon.

Today, I'm told that my cards for my new account have arrived, but I can't take them because the documentation for the account still hasn't been sent to the branch, but the cards are here. My biggest problem is that I'm told that I can't access the R3000 that I put into account until the documents reach the branch. How long does it take to courier docs, should I have just gone to another bank?
