Promised mobile unit for my mother, no delivery

My mother is very ill and bedridden. She needs a new bank account so she can take care of her medical bills. We asked Standard Bank if they could come to the house with a mobile unit to open an account, as we were told that Standard Bank offers this service.

We first went to Standard Bank at Kenilworth Centre, where we were told that we are outside their area and that we had to go the Plumstead branch. At the Plumstead branch, we were told that they had to arrange a Kenilworth unit to come to us as Plumstead does not offer this service. Very efficient.

After having to remind Plumstead branch, we were told that the unit was going to come to my mother the next day, but then cancelled the next morning because this person did not have transport available to come through... We were told to wait for a new appointment. Three weeks later we still haven't heard anything from Standard Bank.

My mother prefers Standard Bank, but I am wondering if Standard Bank is even interested in a new client? If Standard Bank is unable to assist us, then why can't they be open and honest about it and let us know? I am sure there are other banks willing to assist us!
