Lapsed accounts and payments not paid

Good Day,

I'd like to complain about STD Bank in Benoni. Last year they offered my mom a Gold Card account without explaining all the terms and conditions. my mom is pensioner, who was given early retirement due to medical reasons a few years back.

Now my concern is that when they offered her the Gold Card, they never bothered to explain that she should transfer her accounts from her previous account to her current account that she's using and/or do the transfers like what FNB Bank is doing for their clients (and it's not like she was using a different bank, she's been loyal to STD Bank for years now). Now whats frustrating is that her insurance policies and other stop orders that needed to be paid have now lapsed because they have not been paid for 3 months plus now.

Now when she went to the bank to complain, she was told that there's nothing they can do about it. now is it fair that all her life saving, insurance policies should lapse because someone failed to do their job??? Standard bank I'm not impressed at all. Now i see why most people bank with FNB Bank
