Standard Bank - are they really moving you forward

I've been a Standard Bank client for more than 10 years. I have a current home loan with them and have applied for a second bond. They only use a centralized call centre for home loans, with no dedicated home loan experts at their branches. :How frustrating to explain to a different person every time you call the call centre - and the branches also work through the call centre - even they complain about this situation as they are not able to assist clients. There is not a "face" that you can build a relationship with and explain your application to! Personal service and contact does not exist.

My second bond application was declined for a second time, on reasons I feel are not justifiable. My business account with Standard Bank is in good standing, as well as the Standard Bank bond that I have been paying for the last 10 years.

I also have 4 other "business accounts" at Capitec Bank for my 4 shops and offered to move these accounts to Standard Bank in order to have all my businesses banking at one bank.

I have just visited FNB and they are glad to take my business accounts.

Is Standard Bank really moving you forward, or are you just a number in a call centre queue.
