Loosing importent documents

I immigrated to the USA beginning of this year. My mom and I went to Standard Bank before I immigrated so that I can give my mom power of attorney over all my Standard Bank accounts. This was done so that my mom can manage my accounts transfer money from my accounts to me in the USA and I can transfer money to my Standard Bank accounts. This Tuesday my mom went to transfer money to me from my Standard Bank account to my Chase account in the USA because I had surgery last week. Today (Friday) when she phone to know how far the transaction was she was told that Standard Bank Westgate has lost the power of attorney papers and that she doesn't have any authority on my accounts. Standard Bank didn't even have the decency to phone and let my mom know that my money isn't being transferred. This is the most pathetic service I have ever experienced that a bank can loose an imported document like that. I am living in America now and have no control of my accounts thanks to incompetent Standard Bank. I would like to get all my money out of my Standard Bank account and close all my accounts. I will never recommend or use Standard Bank again.
