"Private Banking" NOT HERE... just wait in the Que

After my original complaint 2 months ago of FNB changing my account type without my authorization had still not been resolved so I decided to go to the branch in person.
I discovered that the person that had last contacted me was Prasheel from Rivonia branch. When I arrived I discovered he was out so I left my details for him to contact me.

I then asked the branch manager for their private banker as I wanted to have my debit orders switched on my platinum check account. He informed me that their person that held the position had left and they had not yet filled that position. I was told to join the Que and wait till someone could attend to me. After 15min of waiting I decided to leave.

I was under the impression that once you have access to the private banking facility that you are a valued client and they are meant to assist you in speeding up bank dealings. Clearly it is just another way to justify charging more for less.

Later that day when Prasheel returned my call I informed him of the bad service and he said he would look into it. A week later I have still not heard anything form them. This seems to be the modus operandi of FNB ignore the problem and expect it to go away.
