Dear Vanessa,

I see you are in charge of Group Customer Care at ABSA.

On Sunday morning at approximately 90h30 on checking SMS messages I discovered 3 transactions that appear yo have occurred between 23h00 on the 28th September and 01h00 on the 29th September 2013 at what appear on reviewing my Bank Statement online to gave taken place at Tesco and Welbridge Stores in the UK.

I immediately called your line and was transferred to the Stop Card Department and received a Stop Code 00203120130929.

I was then told I had to visit a Branch which was done by 11h30 on Sunday at the Eastgate Branch with case reference number 2542608.

To my amazement I was told this would take up to 21 days to investigate and resolve before I am refunded.

I find this to be totally unacceptable as my Account was cleared completely.

I do believe that as I in no way compromised either my Card or PIN, that ABSA should take responsibility and make an immediate refund.

As month end looms and Debit Orders will commence with effect from the 30th September 2013, I suggest you review on arrival at your office tomorrow morning and Credit my Account with immediate effect.
