I have had the misfortune of missing a few bond payments due to being unemployed for a while. I have since rectified the matter but to say that Absa was not interested in assisting is an understatement. I had sent numerous emails to the person handling my account but did not even receive the courtesy of a reply. This was despite my highlighting the urgency of the matter. It seems that this individual was doing everything in his power to frustrate the situation to the extent that no solution would be possible. The attitude and lack of client respect is absolutely disgusting and it is high time that these people with attitude get off their high horses and be reminded that we are the clients and we are what keeps them in business and in a job. Thank goodness that all business's are not run this way or else we would be on a downhill ride to nowhere. Absa should be avoided and then they will perhaps realise that they need us customers more than we need their lack of service and respect.
