Handed over to unknown attorneys

I applied for consolidation loan online on the 10th of sep 2013 and the reply I got was that I should contact the Callcentre which I did. To my surprise I owe Capitec loan that I took 3years back, which I am currently handed over to attorneys they don't even know. I was transferred 3 times and every consultant didn't know what to tell me. I know I paid my account in full last year I still have proof of payments with me. The amount I was told about was 3, 799.41 which I paid on the 19/11/2012. Today I'm surprised to hear I still owe 1.9 why was I not told of it then??? Please someone help me as I don't know how I'm handed over.
