Incorrectly handed ove

I spoke to this lady last year after making a payment that i was handed over and she said she will check why because i was incorrectly handed over and she will come back to me, everytime i called her after that she was busy and never returned my call, now the laywers are calling me and want me to pay them but i told her to check for m because she could not even see if the amount i paid is deducted from the amound i paid in, now i spoke to her supervisor Amy who is defending her and telling me it is not their responidbilty to call me back and inform me if my accoint has been reinstated i just had to pay, i said to her how can i pay if i dont know what is happening with my account adn that there is nothing they can do, can someone call me to explain what happens now, because she confirmed even this morning that i was incorrectly handed over, they must go listen to their recordings and hear my conversation with he.
