On 28/05/13 my wife had the misfortune of having a small accident in PMB. We did the SAPS accident report lodged the claim with First For Women, as should be done. After a few back and forth calls to Jeremy (who is near impossible to get hold of and never returned any calls after messages being left), we eventually get informed that as the 'residence' of the vehicle had not been updated after she moved here, the claim for her and the 3rd party would not be processed, as she never informed them of the new location.
After speaking to various assessors, they said that regardless of location, an accident claim should be processed, as your living location has nothing to do with an accident location.
A query and complaint to FFW was sent, notification of receipt received, but never any response from them.
She has since cancelled the policy to prevent any further unnecessary expense, but we still want this claim re-evaluated and processed, as should have been done.
Would someone be able to assist with this, or do we need to go through the Insurance Ombudsman for this to be processed?
