Outstanding insurance claim since 4 January 2013

I have an outstanding claim from an accident which happened on the 4th of December 2012.
My vehicle was rear ended by another (insured by TrustCo).

As my vehicle was only insured for third party, I sought to claim on the other party's insurance who hit my vehicle.

After several breakdowns in communication, I was told that my case was being worked on (4 January 2013), and in another email I read that my claim would be processed within 21 days of receipt of all documents.

I never heard from TrustCo again.

I have tried on several occasions to phone the numbers provided and get an update on my case - each time I go through I get put on hold, and the phone never gets picked up the other side. I have sent two or three emails asking for clarity on the situation - these emails are simply ignored. Very unprofessional!

If I do not hear back by the end of this week, I shall be taking this matter further to the insurance ombudsman.

I still out of pocket since December 2012 - for an accident your client caused. I would like an explanation... especially as I see there are plenty other people on HelloPeter in a similar predicament with TrustCo. Is this normal?
