Inadequte reasons to decline a claim

A storm brakes out in Cape Town, wind blowing at a speed, raining falling down like buckets, etc etc. All of a sudden the water leaks in 4 different rooms in my house. I register a claim but were advised that it will not be entertained. Reason being, maintenance and wear tear. Utter nonsense! I regularly maintain as a house is your most expensive asset. So easy now to say you are not entertaining my claim. Then you save some money in the long run. You guys are false and misleading and dishonest. I will refer this matter to the Insurance ombudsman.
