Storm Damages In Pretoria/Gauteng

Business & Finance

I am one of the people/households affected by storm in Mamelodi East on the 28 Nov. 2013. My house roof tile is broken, opening big holes, the ceiling is down the floor. I have reported the matter with my bank (ABSA Insurance) Policy number 6508899278, and also logged a claim against the Insurance. I was provided with the claim number 2493594. The problem is nothing is happening now. It is raining almost everyday since the storm and it's raining inside the house. My house and furniture is drowning in water. I cant sleep and I have to wake up in the morning to go to work. When I phone to find out why they are quite they said their call centre manager has stopped everything because he or she wants to send assessors. This is an emergency and we have to wait for the assessors to come on Christmas day. Again what has the call centre manager to do with our claims. This is not his business. One other thing is since they ar not coming and it's raining everyday, we have decided we can't look at our furnisher and houses drown in water, we are trying on our own to close the roof holes, what is the assessor going to assess now. The assessor has to be the first person to go to the scene
