I was appointed executor to my late brothers estate and went to the FNB Sea Point Branch on 27 July with all the required documentation. The consultant I saw was Kaylene, and I handed her all the necessary documents, as well as the details of the relevant account that the funds should be transferred to., she promised to call me the following Monday to confirm when the transfer would take place. She did not. I called her two or three times after that, left messages, but she never called back. I went back to the branch on 10 August 2013. Kaylene was not on duty, and I related the details to Dirk Mostert, who promised that I would be contacted early during the week. I was not contacted, and I called the branch on Friday 16 August, asking for Dirk. He was not available, and I left a message asking him to call me back. He did not. I called again on 17 August, he was not on duty at the Sea Point Branch. I left a message for Kaylene to call, but I did not get a call back. I find the service totally unacceptable from any bank, never mind a bank that claims to be the market leader.
