Still deduct premiums after cancellation

After sending a secure E-mail on their website asking for my policy to be cancelled the company still took premiums from my account for a further two months, only after I stopped the direct debit at the bank did I get a response. The response was to inform me that my policy was to be suspended then cancelled due to the premiums not being paid. If I had not cancelled the direct debit this company would still be taking their premiums still.
I complained and asked for the two month premiums taken after I cancelled to be refunded, all you get is a stock E-mail saying "a representative has been assigned to your case " then a the end of the month another E- mail saying "your case has been closed " this has been repeated three times so far.
Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
