My cellphone was lost, i took more than 48 hours to report it lost to the police station - firstly not knowing that this had to be done - and secondly in hopes to locate the phone through other means. The phone was lost somewhere between my friends house and my house so there was allot of area to search. And unfortunately by trying to avoid claiming without knowing for sure where my phone was - my claim has been rejected and i believe that this is unfair. My claim was submitted on Monday at 2pm and i had to take it upon myself to phone back and inquire the outcome of the claim as they didn't hold up to their word to get back to me within 24 hours. I hate to see yet another insurance company that will seek any reason to reject claims, while they have loyal customers only trying to do the right thing.

I will be contacting the Ombudsman and whoever else possible to dispute this claim as it is unacceptable that i now have to fork out money for the duration of my contract through MTN where the insurance that MTN themselves recommend cant even replace my cellphone!

Shocking customer service i must say ..
