Waiting over a month still no idea about my claim

My vehicle caught on fire while driving on the R21 on my way back from Boksburg. The initial response and service was e excellent, got the towing company there in 25 min, got my rental vehicle in 1 hours.

But then the plot thickens as they say. Reported the incident on the 21 December 2012, now I understand delays due to the silly season, but surely most companies open on or before the 7uth January. Till today I do not know whether my claim has been approved or not. After the fire investigators had inspected the vehicle, now samples of some sort. Is apparently sent of to the US for testing and this will take another week. This makes me feel like some sort of criminal. I could understand this if it was under funny circumstances but not driving on the highway. What do they think I stopped took off the taped cover set it alight and the it back on (the fire investigators confirmed allegedly that's where it originated. Now I'm sitting without a vehicle because the rental is only valid for a month.

Its surely not my fault that this is taking so long to sort out, why should I as the customer suffer for your lack of incompetence in sorting out my claim.
