I was a victim of on my cheque account to the value of over 6 thousand. After this indaba I am sorry to be a customer of Standard Bank. I trust them to be the custodians of my accounts and they have let me down and disappointed me terribly.
I logged a case with the dept and my card was cancelled immediately. The process of my money being returned to me was never explained and to date I am still not sure when this case is going to be resolved. I was at the Northgate branch yesterday to collect my new card when I noticed that the debit orders () had still not been reversed, I asked the consultant to phone the Dept to speak to someone who could help me with an answer to my concerns. We waited on the line for OVER AN HOUR and still no one answered (011 227-4405). I was then given a name of a team leader by someone in a different division, but was told she could help me, her name is Shereen Hussen in. After trying to phone her for an HOUR she kept ending the call or answering and putting the phone down in my ear. As a customer for 20 years I would like someone to give me an answer. The service is disgusting. I will be changing over to FNB once resolved!
