Billed for account thats never used

I received a bluebean credit card over a year ago and yesterday when i tried using it for the first time it reflected that im owing R600 on it. I called the call centre today and i was told the account is now handed over to their collections department. I spoke to Bongani in collections and he told me its for initiation fees.
I have requested that they cancel the card coz im not willing to pay R600 for services never used.
This is totally wrong to be billed for something that i have never used or even for services i have never received.
