During March/April 2013 I was telephonically approached by an Absa rep to upgrade my credit card to Platinum status. I accepted the offer and received the new credit card somewhere in May 2013. Since then I received no Absa Rewards.
I went to the Sanridge Absa branch on 4 July 2013 to report the matter. A very helpful lady put me telephonically in contact with the Absa Rewards division. I spoke to another very helpful lady, (whose name unfortunately escapes me know) and she confirmed that there is a problem with Rewards not being allocated to me. She indicated that she escalated the problem and that it should be fixed by the end of the week. I received a reference, 1166175. A week later it was not fixed yet, and on 11 July 2013 I again contacted the Rewards division telephonically. The same lady again confirmed the problem and escalated it again, with reference 1176518.
It is now again a week later, and it is still not fixed.
ABSA, kindly sort out my problem with your Rewards program.
