Dont go overseas if you a std bank client it seems

I was so surprised no have learned a few minutes ago that Standard bank can do absolutely nothing about the issue my father is having with his card overseas.
There seems there is no help for clients overseas if you are banking with Standard bank, no processes in place to service these clients.

I must say both William in the card division call centre and Prevak manager in the Branch divison were extremely helpful and tried their best to assist and I do appreciate their help.

But it is all in vain. The final answer is that Standard bank cannot do anything for my father now while he is overseas. Firstly they gave him the wrong information when he was activating his card to be able to use it overseas, and because of that information he now has NO MONEY in foreign countries. He cannot enjoy his holiday now because he has no money and I am so stress, how is he going to buy food?

This is absolutely shocking to know that millions of people travel overseas yet Standard Bank have no processes to assist their clients when they are stranded overseas.
Definitely not the message of moving forward!
I am heartbroken and stressed now and Standard bank don't care!
