MY USELESS CREDIT CARD!

My husband has had a Std Bank credit card for over 40yrs. We went overseas recently and called the Credit Card Division to activate our card for use overseas. All was apparently in order. But as my brother-in-law had landed in the States with a Std Bank Cr Crd a few yrs ago that would not "work" my husband was nervous and so asked me to activate my ABSA credit card, just as backup. Lo and behold, the card worked once in the UK, then left us stranded in the USA for our entire visit! Thank goodness for my ABSA CREDIT CARD! On returning my husband discovered that the STD BANK CR CRD DIV is separate from their DIVISION and the division had stopped all transactions! Security is one thing but this is RIDICULOUS. There is obviously an on-going problem of communication break-down between the card div and the div.
Come on STANDARD BANK, you are the most user-UNfriendly bank, as we have found in other ways as well. Jack up your act! People cant afford to be stranded in a foreign country with no access to their own money!
