On 6 May 2013 I lodged a claim with Standard Bank Insurance Brokers for my vehicle that was on 5 May 2013. As I received no satisfaction from the claims department regarding the progress of my claim, I even submitted a complaint with the Insurance Ombudsman.

Needless to say, nearly 2 months later, I am still waiting for my claim to be finalized. Pathetic service.

I have been a long standing supporter of Standard Bank and Standard Bank Insurance Brokers. The insurance company is quick to take my monthly premium but when you need them, they are not there for you.

I am now in the process of cancelling all my insurance policies with Standard Bank Insurance Brokers and will eventually also close my current account and credit card account held at Standard Bank.

Again, I am utterly disappointed and disgusted at the pathetic service I received.
