Shocking service from a Corporate company

We applied for a homeloan on 03-06-2013. We were told that it would take 7 - 10 working days for finalization. Today is the 15th working day and we sit with an application where nothing has been done for the last week, as per the call centre agents. They claim they cannot confirm my husband's work as the number is not in use. We told them that they moved premises over a year ago and that the number is in the yellow pages as we found it in the Cape Pensinsula book for 2013/2014. We were told to supply a letter from his employer with the correct number, which were rejected the next day. We were told to fax a copy of the yellow pages, which were rejected the next day. We were told on Thursday 20-06-2013 to supply his website address as they would use that to confirm the employment. Nothing was done up to today as per the call centre agents. We do not know what to do anymore, our offer to purchase exires soon yet we are still in the same position as Friday, 14-06-2013. This is very disappointing as I cannot believe how such a large corporate company deals with it's potential customers. What started out as an exciting venture, resulted in a nightmare! we are STILL waiting!!!
