The circuit breakers were removed, wires were hanging out of the DB box, the fridge full off meat was busy defrosting when a quote of R6600. 30 was provided. The specified invoices: " Trace & locate fault; Replace earth leakage, Supply main switch 80 Amp; Supply neutral line power; Cabling on jumpers on DB; Voltage test, Ampere test = R6600.30 for 1hour and 10 minutes work!!!
According to yellow pages: We're the quickest: Called them 6h42 whilst they arrived 10h22 after getting lost!!!
According to yellow pages "No call out fees and low charges": Three electrical companies in the yellow pages quoted, based on the specified AAA ELECTRICAL invoice, between R2900 and R3100 including call out fee and 3 hours' work!!!
Thank you for Outsurance - specifically Riaan Whitney - which paid out the claim notwithstanding that their preferred suppliers were not used.
I will never use AAA Electrical ever!!! l Be aware customers...
