I have a personal loan with Nedbank which I pay via debit order. My debit order is to go off on the 25th of each month which is the same day that I get paid and there is always sufficient money in my account to meet the payment. However Nedbank seems to think that they can do whatever they please and debit my account whenever they feel the need to. I can understand that the money would go off on a Friday or Saturday if the 25th falls on a weekend. Can Nedbank tell me why a debit order for Tuesday the 25th, a normal working day, went off on the 21st of June. This is not the agreed date as per contract that I signed. Nor is this the first such incident of the exact same nature. Over and above this Nedbank treats their clients like criminals. Every month I get smses and a minimum of three phone calls reminding me of my payment due. During the entire period of my contract I have not missed a single payment which is via debit order. Why then do I get this sort of treatment? I have complained to Nedbank directly and was assured that this harassment would stop but on the 20/06/2013, I received yet another 'reminder'. I will not use or recommend Nedbank to others.
