Insurance brokers work against their client

I made a third party claim against Mutual and Federal from Commrisk insurance brokers for damage caused by their client on 5 May 2013. It is now 7 weeks and my vehicle remains untouched in storage. They ignore phone calls/sms and even enquiries from my lawyer although they did say my claim would be paid. I am making a claim for a replacement vehicle from their client, so the costs rise with their indifference. I am with Outsurance and have good service, so what is the benefit of a broker?
