I went in to open an account with fnb at the beginning of may.i asked the consultant which account was best, she said the smart cheque account is better.she explained everything to me, i told her i prefer to make withdrawals in the branch one time to pay everything.she said its fine i get 4 free withdrawals.i asked if its free inside the branch she said it doesn't matter.at the end of may i went to do a withdrawal and 2 weeks later, i went to a different branch for a statement only to find that i was charged more than R 116 for the withdrawal, i asked the consultant why was i charged that amount and he said i have an electronic account, i can only withdraw free at the atms!!! i also asked for my monthly fee to go off on the 1st of every month as i get paid on the last day of each month, but it went off in the middle of the month!!! this is pathetic coming from fnb... i even asked for my atm withdrawal increase but that was not done.i asked for assistance with Internet banking but was asked to join another queue that was not even moving!!! and i was already standing in this queue for 45 min. i am upset this is not worth staying with fnb someone needs to sort this out asap
