I have already made a complaint on their site and no response hence this complaint on Hellopeter. I went to Standard bank Ermelo branch about 2 weeks ago to recieve my new cheque card. Take note - i do not like standing in ques and this was probably my first visit to the branch for this year - usually just o internet banking. Upon recieving my card from the teller at enqueries, i asked her to please ensure all my withdrawal limits (monthly and daily limits) are the same as on the previous card. She confirmed with "yes they are all set the same". What a lie? The next day when i tried to use my card, it said "you have reached your daily withdrawal limit". I called card division yesterday only to find out my limit is R0... how do they give me a new card with R0 withdrawal limit? This is totally unacceptable. And i was told i must go back to the branch for them to reset the limits? The reason i asked the teller this the first time was so that i don't need to return to the branch but now i am forced to due to their incompetence. I don't expect this from standard bank as i have been with them for many years and never had a problem like this before!!!
